Patricia Morrow installed as President of the Malden Chamber of Commerce

Malden, MA | Combined Properties is pleased to announce that Patricia Morrow, Vice President of Finance and Administration, has been sworn in as President of the Malden Chamber of Commerce. Outgoing Chamber President Jordan Shapiro Esq. presided over the event in January 2009 at Malden’s Government Center. Patricia and the Board of Directors were sworn in by Mayor Richard Howard.

The Malden Chamber of Commerce has been in existence since 1891 and there are approximately 400 members. Patricia has been on the Chamber Executive Board for over 8 years, and has previously served as Clerk, Treasurer and First Vice President.

Plans for the Chamber in 2009 include the hiring of a new Executive Director and renewed focus on promoting members' businesses through new benefits. The schedule of events will also be somewhat scaled back because of the economy.

For the past three years Combined Properties has sponsored the Chamber’s Annual Wine Fest, a successful wine tasting and silent auction also sponsored by Kappy’s Fine Wine and Spirits. The well-attended event was hosted at 160 Pleasant Street Apartments, a development of Combined Properties, with Patricia leading the event committee. Combined Properties also hosted a summer riverboat cruise on the Malden River that was a new event for the Chamber and also very successful.
