Combined Properties is proud of its commitment to the communities we serve. A cornerstone of our corporate responsibility is a commitment to the community. As we are a substantial real estate taxpayer in many communities, we strive to positively impact the economic development of neighborhoods where we own property.
We work closely with the local officials to devise projects aimed to improve aesthetics, meet specific real estate needs, and enhance recreational, educational and natural resources, to attract economic development and residential opportunities. Here are some examples of the community involvement of indivuduals in the company:
John Pereira, President of CPI, currently serves as Chairman of the Malden YMCA. Under his leadership, the YMCA approximately raised $14,000,000 to build a new YMCA in Malden. Combined Properties donated a legal and consulting services. Construction of the new YMCA began in June, 2004 and was completed in 2006. Visit their website. For many years John has served on the Board of Directors of the Malden-based non-profit Triangle, an organization that since 1971, has been helping people with disabilities gain greater dignity, independence and economic self sufficiency. Visit their website.
In the past, he was an incorporator of Habitat for Humanity in Boston, was active with the Board of the Chelsea Boys and Girls Club, and has served on the Malden Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. He is also currently a member of the Board of Trustees for Danvers Bank.
Patricia Morrow, Vice President of Finance and Administration, currently serves on the Malden Chamber of Commerce, the Zonta CLub of Malden, and the Rotary Club.
Christopher Maietta, Vice President of Development,
gives back to communities through his love of rowing. He is founding member of the non-profit Wayland-Weston Rowing Association, and of the Friends of Cochituate State Park, Inc. He was named to the Mass. State Lottery’s "Friends of the Fairway", recognizing one citizen from each of the Commonwealth’s 351 municipalities who contributes to community through sport.
Combined Properties
has hosted the Malden Chamber of Commerce's Annual Winefest for the second year in a row at our property 160 Pleasant Street. We are also pleased to have sponsored events for the Chamber, the Malden YWCA, Triangle so far in 2007.
